A 100-year-old lady known as Susie Dixon has been driving for the last 82 years, yet has never sat a driving test.
It wasn’t until 1935 that the compulsory driving test was introduced and Susie bought her licence in 1930. She said she learnt in her father’s Bullnose Norris when she was just 18 but said it was a very difficult car to drive.
She has recently undergone an assessment by the DVLA who has granted her to keep her licence for a further three years. She will then have to undergo another assessment every three years.
She said “I have never been in an accident or a speeding ticket in all the time I’ve been driving.”
