Learning to drive at seventeen is expected in my family, so I was happy to pass to-day, five weeks after turning seventeen. I was worried about letting my instructor and my father down. They were so keen on getting me through; I was concerned that if I failed they’d feel I’d brought shame on them and all our ancestors and all three of us would have to commit hara-kiri together or something. So it was amazing (and a relief) to pass, I couldn’t believe I’d done it and was now a proper, qualified driver just like my big brother Adam. Thank you Mark, Steve and all at Britannia Driving School, I couldn’t have done it without you! P.S. Now it’s time for me to take the plunge and go out on my own …so I’d advise all motorist to keep off the roads in Wimbledon to-day
