A New Hazard Perception Test?

Do you think the hazard perception test is outdated? Children on scooters, potholes and pedestrians on phones should be included.

Half of the people asked during the new study that they weren’t prepared for the hazards they were faced when they passed their test.

It should be updated to include modern hazards including potholes, couriers, children on scooters, vape clouds and drones.

What do you think? Is this too much?

Tricky Theory Test Questions Part 1

From the research we have found some of the questions that many students struggle with then they are taking their theory.

One of the questions students struggle with is when is it okay to undertake a vehicle, it was one of the most popular questions that students failed. The answer is:

– in slow-moving traffic queues, when the vehicles in the right-hand lane are moving more slowly

– when the vehicle in front is signalling to turn right

– when you’re in a one-way street.

Another difficult question is what is the typical stopping distance if you’re driving in good conditions travelling at a speed of 70mph?

The distance is 96 meters (315 feet), or 24 car lengths.31

Usual Reason Not To Pass Your Test

Although these are some usual reasons that people haven’t passed make sure you don’t replicate them. Book some lessons with us to get you test ready!

Make sure to use wipers, if it starts pouring the wipers must be put on if it’s a little or a lot make sure your vision isn’t impaired. A learner failed due to their reluctance to use their wipers.

Another factor that may affect your vision is not turning on your demisters, one learner failed as although they had completed a reverse bay park they failed as there was no visibility through their window. Make sure your vision is clear.

We also always advise that you practice some test routes with your instructor so that you are best prepared and feel comfortable with your surroundings. One learner queued cars in a line behind the traffic but the learner didn’t realise that the cars were all parked. So make sure that you get accustomed to your surroundings and test route.

Bus driver warns motorcyclists

On a typically busy day in the capital city of London, the traffic is heavy and pedestrians are crossing the roads.

There is a motorcyclist cutting through the traffic and is alerted by a bus driver to a pedestrian about to cross, this helps to stop a serious incident from occurring. It also helps the bus driver to be hailed as the coolest bus driver in London.

Road etiquette at its finest.
