British Boxing Champion Gary Mason died last year at the hands of a driver who failed an eye sight test.
Mason, 48, was on his bicycle when he was struck by Mr Zanelli who was driving his van. Collision investigators predict he was driving at speeds between 25mph and 48mph.
The ex-fighter died at the scene from multiple injuries.
The family are now taking legal action against the driver, as no further action has been taken since the original arrest for careless driving back in January 2011.
Drivers have to take responsibility for their health and eyesight. Should you suspect that your eyesight is deteriorating you need to make an appointment at the options and have your sight checked.
