Stay On The Left

There are a variety of rules to follow when driving – From making sure you are travelling at the right speed for the area you are in, to keeping an eye on the condition of your car to make sure it is safe to be on the roads – Whilst some rules may annoy us more than others, we need to remember rules are there to keep us safe when we’re behind the wheel.

One such rule is driving on the left-hand side of the road. Having a set side of the road ensures an agreement between all drivers for where they need to be, unless they are overtaking. Although many drivers still do not seem to realise that this rule also applies for driving on motorways – Despite there being three lanes, the left lane is still the lane needed for normal driving.
